Mark Cantrell

Cantrell, Mark

Mark is a fish and wildlife biologist with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service at the Asheville Field Office.  He reviews federal permits and projects, with a focus on hydroelectric facilities, and endangered species consultations.  Mark earned a B.S. and M.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.  He has over 20 years of experience in research, management, and administration in various aspects of fish and wildlife conservation with Federal and state agencies in the Southeast.  His particular interests are restoration of river ecosystems, flow-habitat relationships, and in conservation of rare species habitats.
