Chris McGrath is the Wildlife Diversity Program Coordinator, Division of Wildlife Management, North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. He's been a wildlife biologist for the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission in various capacities and locations around North Carolina since 1990. He became a Certified Wildlife Biologist in 2000. He has worked on a variety of wildlife species including invertebrates, fish, mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians throughout the state, but the bulk of his experience is in the mountains as a biologist, then regional supervisor for the Nongame Program of the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commision.
His current role is to coordinate the staff and activities related to nongame and endangered wildlife for the Commission’s Wildlife Management Division. McGrath received his B.A. in Biology in 1989 from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, New York. He received his Master of Environmental Management (M.E.M), Natural Resource Ecology in 1991 from Duke University, Durham, North Carolina.
