BJ has served as the Regional GIS Coordinator for the Northeast Region of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service since 2009, and as the GIS Coordinator for the Science Applications Program of the USFWS (which includes the North Atlantic LCC, the Appalachian LCC and the Chesapeake Bay Program) since summer of 2011. Since 1995, over the course of his career with FWS, he has served in various GIS-focused positions for the Coastal Program, Realty, Refuges Planning and IT. He began his professional GIS career at the Vermont Center for Geographic Information in 1992. He received his M.S. in Natural Resources Planning from the University of Vermont, and his bachelor’s degree from Duke University.
