The event brings agencies and non-profit organizations together to identify collaboration opportunities and shared resources, while initiating long-term collaborative planning to protect and improve aquatic biodiversity in the Tennessee River watershed. This two-day event features keynote speakers, informational presentations, and facilitated workshops.
INVITATIONAL EVENT - MEETING INFORMATION
The event will be held at the Tennessee Aquarium. Presentations and workshops will be provided over the two-day event. A dinner and awards banquet will be held the first evening, with hors d’oeuvres and drinks also available. Attendees will have access to tour the Aquarium after hours.
Group or organizations award categories to be nominated and honored at this celebration will include:
- Education/Outreach – Provided significant contributions in educating the public and children about the aquatic resources in the Tennessee Valley.
- Habitat Restoration – Made a significant contribution to restoring aquatic habitat in stream/rivers in the Valley.
- Power of Partnership – Demonstrated a diverse, effective, sustainable partnership.
- Innovation/Game Changer – Implemented a significant project, research, technological advancement, or program that was a game-changer for protection of biodiversity.
II. Broad partnership or individual award category for nomination and to be honored as:
- The Tennessee River Champion – Focused on a broad partnership effort or individual who exhibits the qualities of the above categories and has made a significant contribution to protection of biodiversity in the Tennessee River Watershed with either one project/ partnership, creation and implementation of a visionary strategy, and/or dedication to a lifetime of achievement.
