Public Comment on USGS Environmental Health Strategic Science Plan
In 2007 the USGS identified The Role of the Environment and Wildlife in Human Health as a strategic focus through which USGS “can make substantial contributions to the well-being of the Nation”. In 2010, the USGS established a new Environmental Health Mission Area. This new organizational construct is the catalyst for the development of a USGS Environmental Health Science Strategy. This Strategy will shape the agency’s health related priorities and activities for the next decade. Throughout the process of drafting this Strategy, the USGS has been soliciting input from partners, stakeholders and the public. Your input is important to us!
