Downscaling Scenarios of Climate Change Project to Map Entire Appalachian LCC Region: A DOI Southeast Climate Science Center funded project will be evaluating the latest generation of global climate models to generate scenarios of future change to climate, hydrology, and vegetation for the Southeastern U.S. as well as the entire range of the Appalachian LCC.

2013 Science Needs Portfolio: A group of over 150 invited researchers and managers representing a diverse cross-section of expertise and affiliations were assembled to identify the science information needs of Appalachia in order to effectively address the conservation challenges and opportunities across the landscape. The resulting comprehensive cataloguing or “Science Needs Portfolio” was developed to serve as a guiding framework, critical to help facilitate and support conservation planning, delivery, and applied research as well as monitoring efforts across the Appalachian LCC. It also compiles recommendations based on on-going or emergent needs and reflects completion of previously funded projects.

2011 Workshop Report - Conservation Priorities Science Needs: As prepared under the DJ Chase contract by Dr. Gwen White (182 pgs). This is the FULL Report that includes details on how the Workshop was organized, the final Science Needs Portolio (draft - compliation) generated by the various Thematic Work Groups, and the Workshop evaluations and recommendations.
