Mainspring Conservation Trust
Mainspring is the land trust in the Southern Blue Ridge mountains, which spans seven counties: Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Jackson, Macon and Swain in North Carolina, and Rabun County, Georgia. Its goal is to conserve and restore the lands and waters of the Southern Blue Ridge, and to connect the people to these natural treasures. Formed in 1997 by a group of visionaries, this organization grew into the Land Trust for the Little Tennessee, until it transitioned to Mainspring Conservation Trust in 2016.
Lower Mississippi Valley Joint Venture
The Lower Mississippi Valley Joint Venture (LMVJV) is a self-directed, non-regulatory private, state, and federal conservation partnership that exists for the purpose of sustaining bird populations and their habitats within the Lower Mississippi Valley and West Gulf Coastal Plain/Ouachitas regions through implementing and communicating the goals and objectives of relevant national and international bird conservation plans.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is responsible for managing and protecting Louisiana’s abundant natural resources. Mission Statement To manage, conserve, and promote wise utilization of Louisiana’s renewable fish and wildlife resources and their supporting habitats through replenishment, protection, enhancement, research, development, and education for the social and economic benefit of current and future generations. Kootenai Forests to Rivers Initiative
The Kootenai Forests to Rivers Initiative (KFRI) is a new partnership working to connect forest landowners, like you, with resources to help you manage your forest, to meet your priorities. Landowners in Lincoln County were surveyed to identify resources that are valuable to local forest owners. In response to survey findings, our partnership can provide you with informational materials and in-person help from local foresters that will determine if you’re eligible for funding to help your forest.
Kootenai Forest Stakeholders Coalition
The Kootenai Forest Stakeholders Coalition (KFSC) is a Montana-made partnership of recreationalists, business owners, timber mill operators and conservationists. Together, we are deeply invested in the future of the Kootenai National Forest (KNF).
Klamath Tribes
We are the Klamath Tribes- the Klamath, the Modoc and the Yahooskin-Paiute people, known as mukluks and numu (the people). We have lived in the Klamath Basin of Oregon, from time beyond memory. Our legends and oral history tell about when the world and the animals were created, when the animals and Gmok’am’c – the Creator – sat together and discussed the creation of man. The Kittatinny Coalition, co-led by Audubon PA and the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, is an alliance of organizations, agencies and academic institutions working together to conserve the natural, scenic, cultural, and aesthetic resources of the Kittatinny Ridge and Corridor.
Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission
Our mission is to protect Kentucky's natural heritage by (1) identifying, acquiring and managing natural areas that represent the best known occurrences of rare native species, natural communities and significant natural features in a statewide nature preserve system; (2) working with others to protect biological diversity; and (3) educating Kentuckians as to the value and purpose of nature preserves and biodiversity conservation.
Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources
An agency of the Kentucky Tourism, Arts & Heritage Cabinet, the Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources conserves and enchances fish and wildlife resources and provides opportunity for hunting, fishing, trapping, boating, and other wildlife-related activites. Every year the agency enforces wildlife laws, manages public land and water, stocks fish, builds and maintains boat ramps, and informs and educates the public.
Kansas Kickapoo Tribe
The Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas has been in its present area since the 1832 Treaty of Castor Hill where the Kickapoo lived near the Missouri River. The Treaty of 1854 with the Kickapoo Tribe ceded over 600,000 acres of land to the US Government but retained approximately 150,000 acres of land. The Kickapoo Tribe has a diverse workforce made up of over 130 professionals and technical staff members. Day-to-day operations include issues with environmental, health, road maintenance, compliance, financial, legal, gaming, and planning community growth.
Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks
The Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks (KDWP) is a cabinet-level agency with a Secretary appointed by the Governor. A seven-member, bipartisan commission, also appointed by the Governor, advises the Secretary and approves regulations governing outdoor recreation and fish and wildlife resources in Kansas. The commission conducts business during regular public sessions. KDWP employs approximately 460 full-time employees in seven divisions: Executive Services, Administrative Services, Fisheries, Wildlife, Public Lands, Law Enforcement, Parks.
