Partners
The title "Partners" is used loosely here to include those organizations and agencies that are currently participating in formal, regional partnerships related to Wildland Fire and those who have roles and responsibilities linked to Wildland Fire. Because the Wildland Fire site was conceived as a clearinghouse for fire interests related to landscape conservation, we've included a broad list of Partners who either host web content that may be of interest to others and/or manage natural resources affected by wildfires or benefiting from fire management. Please contact us if you would like your organization/agency added to this list; and conversely, let us know if you wish to be removed from this list for any reason.

Oregon Department of Forestry Federal Forest Restoration Program
The Federal Forest Restoration (FFR) Program was created to accelerate the pace, scale and quality of forest restoration in Oregon's federal forests. The FFR Program seeks to increase the resilience and vitality of federal forests and rural communities and to support and leverage collaborative efforts and regional economies.

We are committed to creating positive change through programs and providing spaces where each person feels safe and welcome.
Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board
The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board is a state agency that provides grants to help Oregonians take care of local streams, rivers, wetlands, and natural areas. Community members and landowners use scientific criteria to decide jointly what needs to be done to conserve and improve rivers and natural habitat in the places where they live. OWEB grants are funded from the Oregon Lottery, federal dollars, and salmon license plate revenue.
Prescribed Fire Community of Practice
The Prescribed Fire Community of Practice (CoP) provides a clearinghouse for information on conducting controlled burns and the effects of fire on plants and wildlife. The CoP also offers information on fire through articles, FAQs from the nation’s top prescribed fire personnel, and up-to-date fire news and events. The CoP is a National Cooperative Extension Resource.
PulsePoint Foundation
PulsePoint is a 501(c)(3) public non-profit foundation building applications that help public safety agencies inform and engage their citizens.
Rainwater Basin Joint Venture
The Rainwater Basin Joint Venture’s objective since 1992 has been to work with private landowners, agriculture producers, and conservation partners to ensure adequate wetland habitat for the migrating birds that depend on this region.
Ruffed Grouse Society | American Woodcock Society
Established in 1961, the Ruffed Grouse Society is North America’s foremost conservation organization dedicated to preserving our sporting traditions by creating healthy forest habitat for ruffed grouse, American woodcock and other wildlife. RGS works with landowners and government agencies to develop critical habitat utilizing scientific management practices.
Sandhills Prescribed Burn Association
The Sandhills Prescribed Burn Association (SPBA) was created to assist landowners in restoring one of the most biologically diverse and culturally rich landscapes that once covered 90 million acres in the Southeastern US.
Sandhills Task Force
The Sandhills Task Force (STF) is a non-profit organization consisting of a 16-member board of Sandhill ranchers and conservation agencies. The organization’s focus is on affecting sound environmental and economic practices in the Sandhills of Nebraska.
Southeast Regional Partnership for Planning and Sustainability (SERPPAS)
The mission of SERPPAS is to seize opportunities and solve problems in ways that provide mutual and multiple benefits to the partners, sustain the individual and collective mission of partner organizations, and secure the future for all the partners, the region, and the nation. This mission will be accomplished through identifying opportunities for mutual gain among all partner groups, effectively addressing differences among the partners, and focusing on identifying solutions to complex problems.
Southeastern Cohesive Fire Strategy
The Southeastern Cohesive Fire Strategy provides an online resource for southeastern Cohesive Fire Strategy information and news and to provide tools and resources to professionals and the public that can increase landscape resiliency, protect communities and ensure a safe, effective and risk-based fire response.
Southern Blue Ridge Prescribed Burn Association
We are a community-based organization focused on increasing access to prescribed fire on private lands to benefit the Southern Blue Ridge mountains. Members of the Southern Blue Ridge Prescribed Burn Association include anyone interested in supporting the conservation effort: private forest landowners, natural resource professionals, students, and the public.
Southern Fire Exchange
The Southern Fire Exchange (SFE) is a fire science delivery program in the Southeast, funded by the Joint Fire Science Program in agreement with the United States Forest Service, Southern Research Station. With our key partners, we strive to improve access to and usefulness of southern fire science information and offer opportunities for the fire community to interact and learn from one another.
